We are so thankful for Sisters.

I was glad my sister could come up and spend the weekend with us. There is nothing in the world quite like Sisters!!!

Poor Nathan

My nephew Nathan is a freshman at BYU and preparing to go and serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Part of that preparation included having his 4 wisdom teeth removed. As you can tell, it was not fun! Barb surprised him and flew up from AZ to help him. We enojoyed having him here, though he pretty much just sleep and took pills. Glad you're feeling better Nathan!

We were happy to see how much playing time she got as a new member of her team. They are a great group of girls and she is having fun with it.  If you click on the picture you can kinda get a sense of how small she is compared to the other players.  Sorry babe, it's in your genes.

And a happier crowd today as well. The rain had passed and all we had to deal with was the cold.

Mesquite Tourney Day 1

Aubrey's first USA Soccer game of the season in rainy and cold Mesquite?  What's up with that?

Cold and getting colder.  Keep running Aubrey, keep moving to keep warm.

Aubrey pleading her case with the Ref.  By the end of the game, we were all huddled into a minivan parked in a red zone trying to watch the game in between rolling down the windows to clear all the fog breath.  It was quite the day.

Lunch with Grandma

Today we made another quick pit stop in La Crescenta to repack and regroup before heading onto Mesquite. We were lucky enough to have a special Birthday Lunch with Grandma Miller at Panera Bread in La Canada. Lindsay's 10th birthday is coming up and Grandma got her some cute Mickey Mouse earrings and necklace. She loves them and has been wearing them often ever since.

The girls about talked Grandma's ears off with all their latest adventures and endeavours. They even got some applause from a table behind us after an Emily song and dance number.

We all enjoyed our lunches and the chance to just relax and visit. Thanks so much to Grandma for making our afternoon special.

Brenna's Friends

Brenna makes friends wherever she goes. SERIOUSLY. Grocery store, park, bank, anywhere.

And a 2-fer. Two friends to go on the tire swing with her at Dunsmore Park and a willing Dad to push them. What more could you ask for. She is very much a 'people person' and we love to see her personality blossom.

Morning of Rest and Writing

Now that the cruise has ended, Dad and Aubrey had to return back to work and school, but with the other girls off track from year round school, we decided to stay and play awhile longer. We spent Monday morning finishing up laundry and repacking before heading to Two Strike Park. The kids had a great time on all the new play equipment, while Mom frantically tried to write a letter of recommendation for someone back home before losing Internet access yet again. (Disney=no Internet access)

I was able to finish up my letter (and remembered how fun it is to use my brain in that way) just in time to send it off before leaving for Disneyland.

P.S. Today is Valentine's Day.  We did nothing special. Sorry. Just not the same without Bub here. :(

2nd stop

Next stop, Papa and Grandma Miller's house.  This place also brings back wonderful memories.

Brenna got to hopscotch with Grandma, which she loves to do EVERY time we visit.

And spent some time with Buster, their dog.  Buster gets super excited when all the girls come through the door.  He loves all the attention and action.   We were so glad we got to spend some time with them.  

1st Stop

Our 1st stop was Grandma and Grandpa Webber's house. We caught a few zzzz's and headed to church. Unfortunately missed a 5K and Youth Conference with Sister Elaine Dalton, who is the General Young Women's President for the entire Church, that had taken place the day before, but were able to hear some of the youth's testimonies and experiences in Sacrament Meeting.

I was also able to show Brenna where my childhood best friend Kellie lived, because Kellie's house was the same as Brenna's best friend Karley's house is in relation to ours (3 houses down and perpendicular). It's always fun to go back to La Crescenta where I grew up. It was often referred to as 'North Disneyland' and I understand a little better why now. Nestled in the foothills above Los Angeles, it's still a great place.

On the Road Again

We are hitting the road again for another fun filled family adventure trip. Is everyone ready? Cause here.....we... GO.

The Big Meet

In Utah there are 2 major Universities, BYU (blue) and UofU (red) When it comes to athletics, our family bleeds blue, BYU Cougar Blue. But we do have one exception, and that is the UofU Red Rock Gymnasts. They are phenomenal and we love going to their meets. Tonight we took Amber (whose family bleeds UofU red) with us to the meet against ASU. My sister Ally and her husband Wayland are friends with some of the ASU gymnasts so they were able to get us tickets in the 'Sun Devil Zone' of the Huntsman Center. Being that Robert and I both graduated from U of A, and are true Wildcat fans when it comes to AZ sports, we never envisioned ourselves every sitting in a 'Sun Devil Zone', but we did. It was a great night. Our tumblers love to watch these college girls tumble. They are so strong and solid and just amazing athletes. They are so fun to watch. Hats off to the UofU Red Rocks Gymnastics Team. You really do Rock!
