Golf Hole #3
Today JEF was reppin' Hole #3 for the South Valley Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament with Tima, Carla, Anne, Jenna & myself.
Hole #3 has a large body of water between the tee and the green, which was fun. We got to meet lots of new friends and visit with some of our old favs. I love being able to serve the students and teachers in our district and I love that I get to do it with such awesome people.
Hot Yoga Morning
Hot yoga at Suvita for a lot of the crew this morning.
Hot yoga is HARD. Hot yoga at 5:30 am is even HARDER.
Boston & Jeremy were first timers and they did amazing!
Hoping everyone got good Zen and good sleep after that workout!

Ninja Time
Got to go to Ninja class with this guy!
It's so fun to see him in different environments like with his friends, teacher, classmates, siblings, etc.
He is a kind, courteous, outgoing, and a very good ninja!
B-day Fun
B-day fun with Jill tonight. We ventured out of our norm and tried Crisp & Green in Sandy. Soooo sooo good. Then met up with her sweet family and headed to a movie. I can't imagine life without her. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and best friends!
1st Day of Work
Kayla's 1st day of work as a Refugee Liaison for Granite School District. So proud of who she is and know she will be a great asset to the students and families in that district.

Birthday Love
The girls made this ginormous poster that covers most of our window over looking the backyard and wrote in it qualities and characteristics they love. I think they put it there so I wouldn't be able to see the empty/broken pool, which I appreciate. I also appreciate their heart felt kindness and goodness and want to remember the things they shared:
generous
consistent
beautiful
righteous
natural leader
spiritual
disciple
passionate
service minded
friendly

Stud Gov Seniors
Stud Gov Seniors hit the lake tonight.
Caleb, Brenna, Abby, Annie, & Hayden; just missing Boston & Bryce
They surfed
and body boarded?
and talked and ate.
This is a great group of kids and we appreciate all the time, effort, and energy they put in to make Bingham such a great place.
Not sure how I didn't get a pick & shovel pic?
B was the boat driver for part of the night
and our one and only trailer driver. Beautiful job B

TIMP Hike 2023
Another birthday....another Timp hike.
I love this hike and I love sharing it with my people
We had incredible weather. Blue skies and mild temps
One of the perks of a long summer was that the wildflowers were still in bloom
Another perk or non perk was that there was still quite a bit of snow on the trail.
38,480 steps; 17.04 miles
Tired feet, calves, thighs, hips, & butts
Used a few Band-Aids, lots of Advil, & ate lots of Dots, Oreo's, Licorice & Nuts.
As we were descending, Jon got a bug lodged in his ear. He tried everything he could to get it out-jumped up and down, shook his head like crazy, he was willing to try anything. Luckily we had an ER doc with us. She started asking other hikers for tweezers, but no one had any. We proceeded for a bit, but it was really bothering him, so we stopped and tried again to remove it. Someone said we should say a prayer. Jon said he had offered several silent prayers, but would appreciate any other prayers on his behalf. We all stopped on the trail while Lindsay offered a heart felt prayer. We continued on, as Jon & Alexis discussed Insta-Care options they could stop at once they reached the bottom.
Within about 5 minutes of our group prayer, a black bug flew out of Jon's ear. He actually caught a glimpse of it as it flew past him. It was a miracle and testimony to all of us that God hears and answers prayers. Jon was so grateful for that tender mercy and for our faith and prayers on his behalf.
There is always something special about hiking Timp. It's hard, it's full of adventure, deep conversations, minor injuries, strengthens our hearts and love for one another, and deepens our love for God and one another. Until next year :)
