Em & Mitt

Emily has been looking forward to Mitt Romeny coming to campus to deliver a 3-day lecture series on Public Service put on by the Wheatley Institute. She loves being able to learn from those who have given so much of the lives to serving in Public Office from local government officials to U.S. Senators. She wanted to talk with him about public service as well as the Peacemaker Project she is a part of at BYU.

Little did she know that she would not only be able to hear him speak at the forums, but that he would also come to one of her MPA class to visit with the students. She wished she had dressed nicer for class that day, but it's all in a day's work.

Dream Team

Dream Team here in Woodbridge.
Every week Brenna write us about how her mission is so awesome and couldn't get any better......and then it does. She continues to meet, learn from, and love more and more people each week and now she is serving in a trio with Hermana Morales y Hermana McGee - and somehow next week life will get even better. Milagros!

MTC Tour

When missionaries are called to service missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints they first report to a Missionary Trainning Center before moving to their assigned mission area.
ThereThe MTC campus has 16 buildings on a 39-acre site, including residence, classroom, and administrative buildings, and an MTC store.

The Provo MTC can train up to 3,700 missionaries at a time and is usualoly at capacity during the summer months when so many new missionaries are heading out. The MTC was last renovated in 2017, and our family had a chane to tour it at that time (MTC Tour 2017)

Kayla spent a few weeks at the Provo MTC before being transferred to the Manilla Philippines MTC (Kayla Sightings at the MTC)

Brenna was last here in June of 2025 as a guest of Jon & Alexis when he Jon spoke at a MTC Devotional (MTC Devotional June 2025)

Friends in our stake invited us to take a MTC Tour back in August, when Brenna was still living at the Provo MTC, but we decided to wait a bit. Knowing MTC tours were now an option again,  we got online and booked tickets for a time in November, and here we are.

In front of the 'infamous' MTC scripture wall.
Stacy & Lee's son will be entering this MTC in March before heading off to Australia. Lee had not been back to0 the MTC since he was here 30+ years ago. Some things were familiar, but lots of growth, change, and additional buildings added since that time.

Buildings the missionaries live in while they are here

Another beautiful and infamous picture of the Nephites living in the America's

We also brought James & Christy, as well as their son Logan and his girlfriend Ella - who will both be headed to the MTC soon as they prepare to serve in Morristown, New Jersey and the Ohio Church History Sites. So glad they could join us for this tour.

This chandelier is that last thing the missiionaries see as they leave the Provo MTC to head out on their assigned missions.  It is a reminder to them to always LOOK HEAVENWARD.

So thankful for this amazing dedicated Missionary Training Center that prepares our missionaries
(both young and not so young) to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" Matthew 28:19
