Drill Banquet

We held this years Drill Banquet at Gardner Village. Though we could not have our usual sit down dinner  (District Covid restriction) it was so nice to come together and celebrate this years team!
A big THANKS to these amazing coaches.  Thank you Pyper & Erika!

Em & Erika - these two have worked super hard to provide a great year for this team. They faced so many obstacles, unknowns, and ever changing requirements and restritions.
Em really rose to the occasion in leading this team to another State Championship through all the ups and downs of this crazy year.

Her BIGGEST fans and SUPPOPTERS!!

B's 1st injection

It has now been 5 months since Brenna was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She has been on serveral different drugs during that time.  The first round did not seem to change anything, the 2nd round was helping, but her Rheumatologist was not seeing the type of progress she wanted to with that drug combination, so she is now shifting to bi-weekly injections to help bring down the inflammation 'brewing in her joints' as her dr likes to say.

For the past week we have both been doing our homework, watching all the videos, reading all the pamphlets and brochures. Brenna's been trained by Nurse NIkki at PCMC and by Nurse Jamie through Humira, and is ready to do her 1st injection. Her medication is deliverd in a cooler every 2 weeks and then stored in the fridge until 45 minutes before injection time.  Once it reaches room temperature, it's ready for her to inject into her upper thigh or stomach area.

Nurse Jamie joined us via Zoom to make sure Brenna was ready and comfortable doing the injection herself.  She chose to start on her left upper thigh and recorded that in her journal so that she rotates to a different area next time.

There she goes.....Rock Star right there!
She has been so awesome and so positive through all of this. Hoping to see some positive results over the next few months. You so got this B!

Emily as our Pilot

After dinner, Mike invited Em to join hin in the cockpit.  She was thrilled to say the least.  He explained to her all the instruments and what they do and how he flies the plane.  She was totally enthralled and hanging on every word.  He asked if she wanted to try flying for a minute, and she turned the controls over to the co-pilot.  She was amazing.

While she had a great view of the controls and panels, I had a great view of the sunset

Here is the plane just before we boarded to head back home.
What a night to remember!

Dinner Flight

two of our good friends took us on a flight up to Brigham City for dinner.  We invited noth the girls to join, but B had practice and Em was going to a state semi final basketball game.

At the last minute, Em decided the leave the game early and meet us at Airport. Boy is she glad she did. She was in heaven up there lloking down over the valley.

We flew up to Brigham City (you can see the temple and tabernacle) to have dinner a Maddox, a well known steakhouse.

Em in awe as we took off from the runway.

Varsity as a Freshman

Brenna has been watching Bingham Girls Lacrosse games since Aubrey was a sophomore in high school. She's waited a long time for her chance to finally play and be a part of the program.  She decided about 2 years ago that her goal was to make the Varisty team at Bingham as a freshman.  Her good friend Curits, who is also a freshman, had the same goal and they would go to SoJo and shoot goals together or play wall ball - always talking each other up and encouraging each other.

As teams were announced tonight - Brenna was the only freshman to make the Girls Varsity team
and Curtis was the only freshman to make the Boys Varsity team.

As with pretty much everything these  girls choose to do, they always have amazing support from Sisters.

Sister are seriously the BEST

and she couldn't wait to tell them once she got home.

Celebrating with Em while she talks to Aubs. We are so proud proud of B.  It has been a long journey, both before and after her diagnosis. Her body does not always feel as good or as loose as she would like it to, but she is a fighter and she is going to give this season everything she can.

Sharing the GOOD NEWS!

Stats Homework

Kayla came by after work to get some on her Stats homework. Not her favorite class right now.
