Halloween 2014

With the 3 older girls not having school on Halloween, Aubrey was sure she wasn't going to dress up....until, some friends invited her to 'Chipotle' for cheap burritos IF you were in costume.  She and Megan quickly tore through the Halloween box and quickly became 'Cave Women'.

Brenna heading out with her friend Mara.  Robert & I were alone the first part of the night as girls went with friends in other neighborhoods.  Weird.  It seemed like just yesterday we were out trick-or-treating with all 5 of them.  They are growing up!

Halloween - TD Ameritrade

Robert is always great at Halloween costumes that are relevant in the moment.  Last years World Series winning, beard wearing Cubs player.  This year he went off a new TD Ameritrade commercial that is focused on Education and just started airing.   He was a hit that day as he led a  Town Hall Meeting that was broadcast to other TD sites across the country.

They've been wanting to make carmel apples for weeks, and tonight was the night.  So yummy!

Aubrey & Connor - these two have been friends since 4th grade.  They are 2 peas in a pod, and had such a fun time together.

Over the years she has gotten much better at the whole 'boutonniere' thing.  I loved her hair in this pic as well.

It was a busy day/night and with 19 couples in their group, pictures were pretty difficult, but it is fun to see all these kids who have been together since elementary school going out and having fun together as high school seniors.

Bell's Canyon Hike

This Fall has been the BEST for hiking and running in the canyons.  We had sometime this morning, so we decided to do a longer hike.  I think it's now one of our favorites.

Kayla got tickets to the "Bastille" concert for you birthday.  November 11th seemed a long time away when she opened them, but seeing this sign got her excited again.

More Backyard Disasters

As  if our yard hasn't been through enough this summer,we came home from AZ to a broken tree

table, and umbrellas.  Luckily the girls slept right through the storm, and had no idea anything had happened until the morning.  I guess we'll be getting new patio furniture in the spring.

Ally & Michael's Sealing

10.11.12 I remember that day like yesterday.  Ally & Michael were married that morning in Arizona.  Two years later, they were sealed in the Gilbert, Arizona temple. Robert and I were so grateful we could come down and share this special day with them.  They have created a wonderful life together and an amazing family of 8.

We will want to remember the tender mercy that came that morning as we got ready.  Ally had found a dress she wanted for that day at Downeast, but they didn't have it in her size. They searched all the stores in the valley and could not find an XS.  As I unpacked my small carry-on, we learned that I had brought the dress she wanted in the size she needed.  God is aware of each of His children,  He knows our needs as well as our wants and for this special day, that special dress was now available for her.
I am so grateful for the blessings of this life and especially for the blessings of the temple that bind individuals and families to Jesus Christ and to each other.  I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that we are here on Earth to learn to become more like our Savior, and the covenants and blessing of the temple,help us to do that.

Arizona Cousins

Robert and I made a quick trip to Mesa this weekend.  We're so glad we got to see all the cousins in our short time there.  Little Miss Saybria....we sure love this girl.  She'll never remember the time we spent with her when she was a newborn, but we'll never forget it.

The AZ Bloomer, Williams, & Holt crew...minus Michaeley.  Fun to see Chubby and Kyana play soccer and to have almost everyone there to support them.  They are lucky to have Anna and Megan there for big cousin fun.
