1st Day of BYU
Late Night Visit
She married her sweetheart shortly after they graduated from high school and was a military wife as he served in the Korean war. She spent much of her life caring for their 3 children and for her husband who was wheelchair bound for most of their marriage, and found it a joy to be able to serve him in everyway.
She has always had a strong testimony of the Savior and His divine guidance in her life. In her 70's, she served a proselyting mission in England with other sisters who were in their early 20's, and learned so much about the gospel and loving others through her full time mission. In her 80's (not the 1980's) she served as the Relief Society President in our ward, always checking in on and caring for the sisters in our neighborhood, Now in her 90's, she continues to drive herself to the temple and the grocery store, work on family history, and is always willing to share some chocolate from her secret stashes. She is much more of a night owl than a morning person. She loves flowers and when her yard is perfectly manicured. She likes late night TV, getting her hair done and having her nails painted. She is spunky, full of life, and we count her as such a great blessing in our lives. We will miss coming to her home on holidays and nightly walks, but we those visits will just move to a new location. Love you Betty!
