LAX Missionaries

Lindsay & Kay saying goodbye to another BYU LAX player as all 7 of this years freshman players have chosen to go out and serve missions. These girls are amazing and we are so glad they have each other as teammates and as close friends. 

After Lindsay's 1st season playing lacrosse at BYU, she and almost all of the other freshman that year also decided to serve missions.  Former players are always given an opportunity to try out for the team following their missions, but many in Lindsay's grade did not make the team a second time.  I recognize the faith and sacrifice these young women make leaving their friends, family's, college coursework, and spots on a collegiate team so go out and serve the Lord full time for 18 months, and I can testify of the undeniable growth and change that comes through valiant missionary service.

Chainsaw nicked the hand of one of our handymen

5 hours later, he was ready to get it clean and checked out

Bloody Mess. Check. But it will heal and the tree is down and disposed of 👍

 

Denny

Kaycee's hamster Denny is staying with us while she's in St. George this weekend.  He's super fun, super small and can easily get lost in all the clothes on Brenna's floor.  He sleeps in the day and runs in his wheel a lot in the night.  He also has a clear ball that he travels around the house in, going from room to room checking out the scene.  I will say, he was very low maintainance. and fun to have around.

 

Lumberjack

Add lumberjack to her endless collection of  'things I want to be' list.  She gains great satisfaction from sawing down limbs and branches, dead or alive.

For year now, we have said that the best part of lacrosse for our family has been the people it has brought into our lives.  This year's Bingham team was no different.  Brenna loves her team, she loves being with them on and off the field. Her life has been greatly blessed by these girls. It is also another reminder of how life keeps moving forward.....with Maryn, Audrey, Kacie, & AFTON graduating. And another reminder to enjoy the journey as one day it will come to an end.

There were several I didn't get pics of.....like Kay & Em, Aubs & Elan, Lindz & Jer, Nicole, Nathan, Boston's family, seminary teachers, B's physics teacher, etc.  Each one plays such a positive role in her life and we are so grateful for the village that surrounds and LOVES on our girls!

 

Cookie Test Tasting

Last week we taste tested wedding cake.  This week we're taste testing soft top cookies and next week we'll finish with Leatherby's ice cream.  The winner tonight was ......pumpkin chocolate chip.  We'll be seeing some of those on June 10th.

 

Swim Time

So glad to have the pool open and have the boys swimming again. One of my favorite parts of summer is being outside with them :)
