Kay's 1st BYU Game

Kayla's 1st game as a BYU Cougar.  I don't think it hit me until today what a journey this has been for her.  She last played in an official lacrosse game on May 1, 2017 when she was hit in the back of the head with a stick resulting in a TBI (Tramatic Brain Injury) It has been a long road back to the field, and one we didn't anitcipate she would make, but today all that hard work and determination paid off.

The live stream for the game was pretty bad, to the point that we couldn't see the players well enough to read their #'s and we could usually not see the ball.  We watched/listened mostly for whistles indicating a foul or a goal.  At halftime, BYU posted the above picture.  That's Kay #18.  We had no idea that she had been a starter or was playing offense.  We didn't even know if she was in the game at all.

Though they were tied at halftime, BYU ended up losing 20-13.  Kayla called us when she got back to her apartment.  She was soooo sooo HAPPY.  It has been a hard year, and she always has such a good attitude, but her voice last night was the happiest we have heard her in a long time.  Her joy brings us joy and it is going to be a great season.  Go #18

Off Roadin'

Our newest purchase for our new adventures.  We're ready to hit the mountains and we've heard this 6-seater Polaris will take us anywhere we want to go.  Up mountains. along trails, over boulders, through mud, and then back home again.  Lots of fun times ahead with..... (still working on a name)

Bingham Bball Student Section

Tonight some friends of ours gave us 2 tickets to the Bingham Basketball playoff game.  I think this is the 1st non Drill,  Bingham sports event we have been able to attend all year.  So fun to see the boys play and win.  Also super fun to see Em with her friends.  She performed Hip Hop at halftime, but got to watch the 3rd and 4th quarters cheering in the students section.  These are the moments we will miss - seeing these awesome seniors having so much fun together cheering on their team.  I forgot how much we have missed what used to be so normal.

Travel Fun

We tooka  quick trip to Arizona to visit family & friends.  February is a great time to leave the snow and head to the sun and it has been awhile since we've seen sisters and cousins.

Traveling there was half the fun.  Escalators, shuttles, airplanes, moving sidewalks, it was all new and very exciting.

Aubrey is due in less than 7 weeks, so this will be their final flight as a family of 3.

I willingly offered myself to hold the lap child for part of the flight, as Aubrey's lap is pretty occupied.

We made it there and back with no issues or complications. Best traveling crew!

Date Night w/ Kai

Aubrey and Elan went out to celebrate Elan's birthday, so we got to spend Saturday night with Kai.  We went to Kenize Anderson & Spence Smith's wedding reception at the Grand America, got some drinks of wa-wa from the fridge door, and popped a big bowl of popcorn to eat while watching the Saturday night session of Stake Conference.

We're happy to share our date nights with Kai anytime.

View from the Cabin

Not sure how many times Robert shoveled the cabin deck while we were there.  He loved being outside and enjoying the view as he cleared it off.  We are ALL in love this beautiful view!

Bishop's Release

Our family on the day Robert was called to serve as Bishop of the South Jordan 4th Ward.

What an amazong journey these 5 years have been.  We have felt tremendous joy, love, and loss.  We have opened our hearts and home to anyone that has needed it and Robert has given his who soul in serving, lifting, loving, and leading others towards our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.
We will forever be changed by the lessons we have learned and the spiritual growth that has come from supporting Robert in fulfilling this calling to the very best of his ability.  We will never be able to deny the goodness of God or His hand in each of our individual lives and the lives of those around us.

Our family 5 years later
