Mara and Brenna were so happy to be Debate partners this year. Debate is usually only for 6th graders, but 5th grade ALPS students are also invited to participate. These girls successfully won their class and school debate competitions and moved onto District. I love how they coordinated their outfits.
District debate consisted of 3 rounds of debate, and all 3 rounds were against 6th graders. These girls did awesome and were chosen as alternates for the State Debate Competition. Brenna also received a Best Speaker Award. They are now looking forward to debating together again next year.
