For the past year, Emily has volunteered on various committees for BYU Student Alumni. This year, she was recruited to be the Head Volunteer Coordinator for Grad Bash, a big party at the end of the year to celebrate graduating seniors. This event brings in 3,000-4,000 students which means 130+ volunteers need to be recruited, trained, and managed. Emily spent a good amount of time throughout the semester in meetings planning and preparing for the event until it finally happened April 12th.
Of course the Marriott School of Business booth did not to disappoint. Emily loves being a business student and is looking forward to her gifted hammock when she graduates in a few semesters.
LaVell Edwards Stadium was full of college booths, resource booths, and activities. Students really enjoyed the special room for silent disco which they called "Club '24"
Another shot of college booths getting set up to congratulate their grads.
Emily spent most of the night in the Cougar Room where she was training two shifts of volunteers. She really enjoyed having a clipboard.
Grad Bash was a huge success! It takes quite a team to put on something like this, but Emily is always grateful to be part of the magic!
