Aladdin Jr.

Kayla is currently performing in South Jordan Community Theatre's production of Aladdin Jr. She plays an Agrabah gymnast, Whole New World dancer, and is part of the Friend Like Me Chorus.
In th picture below, she just finished a tumbling pass and is standing next to the stairs. In the next picture, she is in the very front left corner after a dance number.
She has had soooo much fun being a part of this show. It has required her to miss many weeks of tumbling, activity days, and time spent with her friends and family, but she has worked hard and performed well. The cast consists of 82 children, ranging in age from 10 to 18, so Kay is one of the youngest. She's done a great job and we are so proud of her. Thanks to all her friends that came out to support her. She has such awesome friends! Below is one of her Student Council Advisers from school.
I also included a few pictures of Brenna with her favorite stars.
The first night she met Jasmine, she asked her if she remember her from when she talked to her at Disneyland. She was very enamored by these young actors/actresses and loved going to the shows.

Bean Museum

I love the Bean Museum on the BYU campus. When we lived in Provo, we would visit there often. It was one of the perks of living in a college town. Today's cold weather led us to an indoor activity, so what better thing to do than go look at dead stuffed animals. That sounds a little morbid, but that is indeed what this particular museum houses. Here are the girls in front of the African elephant. It's hard to imagine what it would be like to come across an animal of this size out in the wild. Probably pretty terrifying. Then our favorite BYU mascot, the cougar. He looks a little more ferocious than Cosmo to me.
We liked the teeth on this cheetah.
We had to get a picture of this overly aggressive bird that we saw often over in Sydney, the ugly ibis. We miss you our Sydney friends, not the birds, the Hall Family. Aubrey and I talked about our trips here with you and Aubrye Lynn. It was fun to visit the museum again and share it with our younger children.

Dealicious

How much do you think I paid for the 12 packs of gum and 19 Dove bars shown in the picture below? Poor Robert has to play this 'how much do you think I paid for this game' a lot. Sorry babe, but I love when I find a good deal. Have you guessed yet? Nope-too high.
The answer is $2.15.
Our Albertsons was going out of business. Everything had been marked down to 75% off, so I went to get some odds and ends - another dog leash, nail polish, light bulbs, etc. I spent about $50 and saved about $178. Then the register printed some save $1.00 on your next purchase coupons. Knowing I would never return to the store, I turned around and started loading Dove bars and gum onto the conveyer belt. My total, after coupons, came to $2.15. I love a great deal!

Dog Wash

For Emily's date with Dad this month they took Odie to the Dog Wash. I'll let the pictures tell the story.

Though he was a good sport through most of it, he did not like the blow dryer at all!
From there they headed to Wendy's for a treat, I assume clean Odie didn't get a frosty.
