Started the day at Ikaika's school for the parade

In the afternoon we made 'witch hats' treats that got eaten almost as fast as they got made

PCMC Visit

Rheumatology check-up for B today

She LOVES when the 'Activity Cart' comes by while she is in the lobby.  The nurse in the red scrubs had just come out and called Brenna name -  but she saw she was fully engaged in picking an activity/toy from the cart, she told B 'No Rush' 

The Activity Cart is one of the many perks Brenna had enjoyed over the years as a regular patient at Primary Children's Medical Center.

Her days are now numbered here. They will continue to see her until she leaves for her mission - and from there she will need to move to the adult system.  No Activity Carts there. :(

 

Aubs Personal Trainer Certification

Congrats Aubs!!! 

She has worked hard these past few months to get her Personal Trainer Certificate to start teaching Group Fitness classes at the gym. Taking classes and studying for exams with 3 boys under 5 years old is quite a a task, but she put in late nights and early mornings to get it done.  We are all so proud of her. 

She is a Rock Star!

The boys LOVE Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point.  Aubrey and Elan get season passes every year so they can go as often as they want.  Quick stop and play after school or after work or long days and nights exploring all of the fun activities and food they have to offer.

Lunch with Marianne & visitors

So happy I got to have lunch with Marianne today. She has been such a dear friend for so many years, and is so very happy about our upcoming move.  I've tried to convince her that Herriman is not that far, but I understand and feel the same sadness that we won't be meeting up down the street to walk the dogs together.  So much love and admiration for this sweet lady.

And a few special visitors stopped  by Schmidt's on their way home from the shop.

Thanksgiving Hereos Prep

Today I met Rob Adams at one of the district buildings to load him up with canned food in preparation for this years Thanksgiving Hereos Event.  Here's a brief intro to this amazing organization ROb crated and has grown throughout the country.

Imagine the joy of a warm holiday meal! For many struggling to make ends meet, the idea of providing a Thanksgiving feast for their family seems impossible.

Thanksgiving Heroes’ founder, Rob Adams, knows this struggle firsthand. Growing up, his family couldn’t afford Thanksgiving dinner, but generous friends saved the day with heartfelt meals.

Inspired by this kindness, Rob started Thanksgiving Heroes in Utah. Now, we empower “Thanksgiving Heroes” nationwide to deliver full Thanksgiving meals to families in need.

Our dinners, complete with turkey and all the trimmings, feed a family of five for a week. Join us in spreading hope, gratitude, and the goodness of humanity by ensuring no American family goes hungry on Thanksgiving!

Our community is always so generous in providing food and supplies to the Foundation. It sometimes comes in so quickly, that it takes us a bit to organize it.  We are also happy to share with other organizations that serve those in our area. 

So fun to get to spend some time with Rob and share the bounteous blessing that have been shared with us.

She is so kind, genuine, intentional, and she doesn't just 'talk the talk' - she SHOWS UP for people and does all she can to lift others and lighten their loads.

They really like the skeleton driving the motorcycle and the 20 foot skeleton with the massive dog.
