Family Day

Our day started at the Johnsons and then moved to the Provo Beach Resort, which we had never been to before.

Who knew Emi's true love would be there

Brenna played 'punch the rubber ducky' game, even though she felt guilty hurting them.  The potential for tickets out weighed the guilt.

Our jump rope girl rocked the jumping game.

Hey, there's something that looks like a beach.  I think Aubs gets a picture of herself in a heel stretch most places we go.  She is going to have quite a collection to show her kids someday.

Final game before the ticket count and the ticket prize they chose .....

any Masquerade Balls soon?

Trafalga

With the new school year just a few days away, we decided to take a one more day to go play as a family. After visiting with the Johnsons, and Provo Beach Resort, we headed to Trafalga.  Since school has already started for most kids, we had the place to ourselves.

There's something about being together, just the 7 of us, that brings me so much joy.  I realize that we are only a few years away, from probably never all living under the same roof again, and we want to take advantage of all of the time we do have together.

Ice Blocking

After Trafalga, we went home to swim/ BBQ and then headed to Daybreak to go Ice Blocking.

Daybreak has the perfect sledding hills for this activity.

I think the lighter you are, the faster you go.

Is this activity illegal?

Wicked Live

We surprised the girls at Planning Meeting this week with WICKED tickets.  We had taken the older girls last time it was in town, and Kayla had seen it in London, but this was a first for the 3 younger and they were excited!

So excited that they wanted to dress up.  Em was Dorthy, Lindz-Elphaba, and B - Glinda

The joy for us was in watching their faces throughout the show.  We had been playing the CD throughout the week, and when the music started for a new scene, the younger girls would light up.  It  was priceless.

Heading home after a great show.

Ear Piercing

Today is Emi's great grandma's birthday.  Grandma Zelda would have been 101, and Jeannette is 76.  She chose this day so she would remember the day she got her ears pierced.

She held tight to Claire bear while her ears got poked by another Emily.

Don't they look great?

Dirty Job

One of Aubrey's tasks for the summer was to paint the shed to match the playhouse. On one of her last days working, she left the paint can on the little shelf while she moved the ladder, and had a small spill (or big spill), but she did finish and the shed looks great!

Our Emi

Love this girl!  She is awesome!  She recently found out that she was going to be the namesake to her 3rd grade teachers baby, except the ultrasound says the baby is a BOY.  Maybe the next one will be a girl, and she will be a great namesake.

Drive-In

End of summer means time to hit the Drive-In with the fam.

Once it starts to get dark earlier, maybe we can stay for the double feature.

Eye Sore

Kay got kicked in the eye during a stunt at Cheer.  Day 1 there was lots of swelling.

By day 2 the swelling had subsided and the array of colors darkened.

Mustache Girls

Posted by PicasaEverybody needs a mustache now and then.  Kayla has been carving out erasers with an exacto knife to make stamp mustaches.  They have found that their cooking skills improve while wearing mustaches.
