Light Project

This light project has been a while in the making.  Our ideas have changes probably 4 or 5 times, but we eventually when with this this design, and we love it!  It adds a lot more light at night around the pool and firepit, which is where most of our night activities take place.  We're glad we did it and we're glad we're done.  Yay!

Bishopric Visits

Robert and his counselors mask up, take camp chairs and visit at a safe social distance with people in our neighborhood.  This night we were out for a walk when we saw him headed our way.  There are so many ways to reach out and build others up, even when limited by social doistancing.  We are grateful for great neighbors and friends that keep us connected and ministers in so many ways during these unusual times.  Love you Bishop!

Workin' with Gpa

Kai and Jett wanted to sit with Gpa while he worked

It must have been pretty boring, because that guy was asleep in no time!

Decals headed to Amazon

On top of our own daily orders, we try to send 25-50 decals (1-2 boxes) of FBA  (Fulfilled by Amazon) orders to Amazon warehouses across the country so that our decals can be 'in stock' when Prime orders are placed.

Today we sent 8 boxes (200 of our speciality fabric decals) to be stocked on shelves in Amazon warehouses.  We are currently at about 60% capacity of what Amazon would like to have.  It feels like a never ending hamster wheel as we crank out as many decals as we can each day and they sell faster than we can replenish them, but we just do our best.

We have talked for years about having a family business, and it is so fun to see it come to fruition and have everyone here to help it grow.  We remind ourselves often that the skills and character we are developing, and the time we're able to spend working together is worth the blood, stress, and tears that sometimes come with it.  Miller Crew - You are Doing Awesome!

Father's Day Zoom

We had a fun Father's DAy Zoom with Mike & Katherine Bobby & Chris, and Papa & Grandma.  Katherine put together a fun game of Kahoots to play and the mens competitive juices came out.

Robert had a relaxed day with less meeting and no worship service at the church building. We will start that next week.

A new Grillin' Plate with Kai's handprints

B had a special message stitched onto a badge for the back of her favorite of Dad's ties. The red one with the tiny yellow ducks.  We had Aubrey and Elan and Kai over for steak and enjoyed the time we have together.  Happy Father's day!

Mission Re-Assignments

Caroline and Lindsay have shared most of the last 6 years of their lives together.  Middle school, high school, BYU, and now missions.  Caroline was assigned to labor in Mexico and Lindsay in Brazil.  They were to report to the Mexico and Brazil MTC's on the same day - June 3rd.

They were set apart the same night by our Stake President to begin their Online MTC training, with the Brazil MTC having P-days on Saturdays and the Mexico MTC having P-days on Wednesdays.  This week they both received temporary reassignments.  They got together fro a few minutes today to share their new assigments.

They will both be serving in the mid-West in neighboring missions.  They were so excited to share and hug and visit for a few miuntes.  Friends fill this world with love and kindness and the world is so much brighter with good friends.  Love you Hermana Esplin y Sister Miller!

Fire Tennis

While Pickleball and Spikeball are still the rage, fire tennis is quickly gaining steam.
I love the Jordan River Temple in the background.....added bonus

Mission Haircuts

Aubrey and Brenna are providing free missionary haircuts, so Lindsay took they up on it.  She loved the trim and they loved cutting it.  Sisters seriously are the BEST!

Brenna LAX

Brenna Spring lacross season was rescheduled and sorten to just a 3 week season.  She was so excited to get back to practice with her teammates and finaqlly get to play.  Rules have been altered so there are few palyers on the field and no draws, so the game moves quicker and looks a little different, but fun none the less.

Missionary Package

Sister Miller got a package from her companions grandparents.  They served as Mission Presidents in Brazil several years ago and have been helping she and Sister Hassler with their Portuguese and teaching.  She sent her a Plan of Salvation chart that she made for each of them in Portguese.  My heart just swells with the kindness and love of so mnay around us that give so freely of their time and talents.  This is a wonderful time to live and to be able to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Hueghes Canyon-Pday Hike #2

We made it to the waterfall

Lindsay studying her famous 'Portuguese Basic Core' book.  It literally goes everywhere with her!

This boulder at the end may have been a little treacherous.....

but it was sooooo soooo beautiful and peaceful and everything we needed this morning. Thank you God for  the beauties of this Earth.

1st P-day HIke

All full time missionaries have 1 day a week where they can take a break from teaching the gospel to take care of their temporal needs.  Thsi is called their preparation day (aka. p-day)  They do their laundry, buy groceries, serve others, and can explore the area they are living in.

For Lindsay's 1st p-day, she chose to hike to Lake Blanche up Big Cottonwwod Canyon.  It was a beautiful crisp morning with lots of cloud cover.

Our hiking crew

It was a good 7 mile hike and it was so nice to finally reach the lake

So beautiful!!!!

Snow melt waterfall desending down the moutain

As we finsihed up at the top of the lake, the skies darkened and the heavens opened with lightening, thunder, and light rain.  As we began running back down the mountain, the rain intensified and turned to white hail pellets.  We laughed and began to crave Dippin Dots ice cream.  It was quite an adventure - which we love!

Loved being able to spend P-day hiking with our missionary.

Let Lax Begin

Brenna's spring season has been reduced and rescheduled, so she will have 5 games over the next 4 weeks.  Her team only had a few practices and no goalie, so she volunteered to be goalie for this 1st game. Staying in the goal and not running the field, was not her favorite, but she did it for her team.  Due to social distancing, we watched from the car.  Look at that cute liitle goalie in the red.
She's super excited to actually get to play again, so here's to a fun spring season.

Jeese by Night

Jesse got a new night time look for the summer....all lit it.
Now you always know when it's the Miller's driving through the neighborhood or around town.

A few weeks ago, Emily's friend took her to Arctic Circle for a late night shake.  When they pulled in they saw a red jeep with lights on it and wondered who could possibly be copying Jesse's new look......Lindsay was inside Arctic Circle with a friend of hers.  Jeese is still an 'Original'

Neighborhood BBQ Night

Everyone in the neighborhood was invited to bring their grills (or pizza ovens/smokers/etc) to their driveways and people could walk around a visit from a a distance while you prepped or ate dinner.  It gave us a chance to make some very yummy homemade pizzas.  BBQ chicken with zucinni was a favorite tonight.

Sushi Night

Lindsay has been wanting to make Sushi lately, so we finally got all the stuff together to make 4 different types of rolls. I am not a huge sushi fan, but these were soooo good. We need to have sushi more often
