Istanbul
This girl has fallen in LOVE with Istanbul.
At this point, she'd like to move back there at some point in her life.
Looking forward to having her take to us to her new favorite places!
Westminster Win
Big WIN over Westminster tonight. Started with some sunshine, but quickly got cold & dark.
Such a beautiful night
Earlier today the field was covered in snow, but the grounds crew plowed it all to the sides
Our crew for tonight
Eating some MOD Pizza with the team to celebrate the victory.

Jesse OUCH
B was driving on 2200 S. to the gym today and Jesse got hot with flying ice from a snow blower being used to clear snow from the sidewalk. The snow/ice was shooting into the street and hit Jesse right in the corner of the windshield. Big spider crack. Blah. Once she came home, we went back to the house where the the snow blowing incident had occurred and talked to the owners. It was a previous bishop from our stake (Bishop Wardle) and he was very nice. We got Jesse in that afternoon for a new windshield and he should be good to go now.

Elan's B-day
Celebrating this guy right here in the pink, though most of the pictures from tonight were of his children??? Happy 30th Birthday to Elan. We love him, love how he takes care of Aubs & the boys, and love having him in our family!

Amy's Baptism
This night at the temple was so very special and the culmination of a difficult year full of lots of prayers and tender mercies. Marianne lost her daughter Amy to suicide on December 31, 2021. It has been heartbreaking for Marianne to go on with life without her daughter. She felt like the greatest gift she could give her now, was the gift of baptism and an opportunity to continue to grow and progress in the next lift, void of all the physical and emotional pain she suffered here on earth. She always knew that she wanted Brenna to be a proxy for Amy's baptism
And she was over the moon thrilled when we arranged for Robert to be the baptizer. Amy really loved Robert and appreciated all that he did for her and her family over the years. It was such a treat for him to be a part of this very special ordinance.
One tender mercy that I want recorded is the time Marianne and I had in the chapel prior to the baptism. The Jordan River Temple is one of the busiest temples in the world, and the baptistry is no different. We had made an appointment awhile ago, so we knew we would get in, but when we arrived downstairs in the baptistry area (6:00pm on a Wednesday night) there was not 1 person in the chapel. Not 1 person. Robert and Brenna went to the locker rooms to change into their baptism clothes, and Marianne and I sat quietly in the empty chapel looking at the font and large portraits of Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist. It is a moment I will never forget, and I can not deny that the Lord was aware of us and keenly aware of the work that was being performed on this side of the veil for Amy. Such a special, special night.
After the temple we headed to Culver's for some ice cream. We are all ice cream lovers and it was fun to talk about our individual thoughts and feelings on the experiences of the evening.

Valentine's Day
Robert & I have never been big Valentine's day people, but it was definitely fun to share this special day with the grandkids. They can make any day feel like a special day.

Chase is 8
Chase was one of our Valiant 6, them Valiant 7 boys. Today was his 8th birthday so we took him over a special treat. We let him finish of his own Vanilla Creme Brulee.
We brought some whipped cream and berries and he made a yummy masterpiece.
This is one of our favorite pics of Chase that is on their frig. We sure love watching our Primary boys grow up and continuing to get to be a part of their lives.

Sweethearts
Any guesses on their day activity based on their outfits?
Clay pigeon shooting out in the desert
Looks like Charley could shoot Brenna in this pic.
The gun is actually behind B's head, but it doesn't look good.
They ended up having a ton of fun. Big THANKS to Aaron & Erica for taking charge of the activity
All we had to be in charge of was the Sushi prep. Easy peasy
They made Boston & Tate these crazy Chewbacca type boutonnieres that only those 2 boys could fully appreciate
And the 'Fit"
The 'Fit'
She wanted to do something different, something special for Sweethearts. She toyed with the idea of a pantsuit, but after seeing his excitement about the sweater he ordered for the dance, she decided to do something off that. So she ordered the same sweater (which was now 50% off 😀) and then Erica (Charley's mom) made it into a skirt for her, so they could match.
They had a fun time at Sweethearts, and because it wasn't a SBO sponsored event, Boston didn't even have to stay and clean up 👍
