Lindsay's Graduation

This beautiful girl graduates today.  I know people always say they grow up so fast, but Lindsay's just seemed to come really fast.  I remember her first day of kindergarten, with her pink rolling Dora backpack and cute dress.  She was soooo excited to go to school and that excitement has pretty much continued through all these years (minus a few days of AP Calculus)
Lindsay graduated with Honors (in the Top 10% of her class) and with a National Honor Society Stole, cord, as well as cords (academic excellence) in Social Studies, English, and Fine Arts.  She also graduated with the Regents Scholarship and a BYU Academic Scholarship.  Wowza!

Lindsay had lots of people here to celebrate her accomplishments

With all we did as parents and sisters to help and support her through these high school years, I pay special tribute to the awesome and amazing friends she had as well.  Together they laughed and cried,  took hard classes, and ate exorbitant amounts of chips and avocados.  They cheered her on during lacrosse games and together they watched a lot of tennis matches. They made major life decisions together and sometimes struggled to decide where to eat after a game.  They were there through the good and bad, happy and sad, and as parents, we will forever be grateful for their kindness and good hearts.

Kayla's on Facebook

I am not a big Social Media user,  but I have become much more loyal to Facebook over the past 7 months as I randomly find pictures of Cebu Missionaries on that site.  Today I found a picture of Kayla's Zone.   I only know she and her companion Sister Leavitt in this picture, but it always makes my heart happy to see her.  💗

Temple Worker

I love seeing this memory each year. As we sat at Brenna's preschool graduation, each of the kids came up to the microphone and share what they want to be when they grow up.  One student wanted to be a 'Rodeo Queen' another wanted to be a 'Horse' another a 'Monster Truck Driver' and when Brenna went up she said into the microphone, "When I grow up I want to be a Temple Worker".

This girl was born with a special spirit that includes a deep love for the Temple.

I snapped this quick pic as she and Hayden and Ashton headed into the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.  Her love for the temple has only increased from her preschool days and she can be found there often. She has become a regular on Tuesday nights and is friends with all of the workers on that shift.  She contunes to invite and add more people to her weekly and sometime multi-weekly trips to the temple.   I'm so glad the Lord placed her in a family and location where she could have such easy access to so many temples and share her love for The Lord's Holy House with others.

Seminary Graduation

This girl graduated from Seminary tonight.  She has taken a religious class every semester since 9th grade and in those 4 years she has spend 1 year studying each of the Standard Works -
Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants.  These classes required her to read and study the text for that year in it's entirety.  That's a lot of reading and studying on top of a heavy academic load, but developing her own testimony and relationship with Jesus Christ and strengthening her faith was that important to her.  Seminary also gave her a chance to expand her understanding of doctrine and use her piano skills to play hymn's in class each day.

                                                                 Very proud sisters

Happy 16th Birthday to this beautiful girl!
It's hard to believe she is already 16.  She is kind, genuine, loyal, thoughtful, confident, smart, fun, and true to herself and her beliefs.  She is admired for who she is and is known for always thinking of others before herself.
We're not sure if she more excited about Dating or Driving, but we do know she was so happy to wake up tp her favorite breakfast - Dad's famous French Toast.

Love you Em's!  Hope you have an awesome 16th Birthday!

Lax vs West Jordan

Coldest game of the season tonight @ West Jordan.

Lindz had a great game and landed herself a picture in the local paper.

We love her high braid coming out of her helmet.
