Celebrating KAYLA

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY KAYLA!!!!

This girl is truly sooooo loved by sooooo many.  She brings light and joy to every conversation and activity.  She is a favorite auntie, a favorite missionary to the people in Cebu, and a favorite teacher/best friends to all of her refugee students and their families!                                          

She loves fashion (new Birk's), Jordan Clarkson & the Jazz, skiing, running club, pickleball, Disneyland, lacrosse, her team & fellow coaches at Brighton HS, river rafting, painting, reading, and sharing love with all people in all places at all times.  

This girls light & goodness has changed lives and brought so much joy to ours!

BYU Alumni Game

Here we go.....Brenna's 1st game as a BYU Cougar - Annual Alumni Game

We could have never imagined the amazing women that the 5 little girls would become.

They are kind, compassionate, and so good to each other and to their parents :)

Celebrating Women's Health

So glad Kayla & I got to celebrate Women's Health at Riverton Hospital.  

The hospital hosts this event to bring women together in the community and connect them to resources for all aspects of health. Public health for the win! We got our flu vaccines, got to practice using surgery machines, learned about mammograms', birth control, healthy habits, and got to take home our own mini plant. So cute!

Aaaahh. When did he grow up?  I remember when he was born and started walking and talking.

Now he's a full-day full-time kindergartner. 

We are so incredible proud of the kind, gentle, and hard working boy that he is.

Girls Be Real's

Though neither Robert nor I are social media users, the girls do have us hooked on Be Reals.

We love seeing what all the girls are doing at different parts of the day.

Zach of the Rockee's Band

I'm not on Social Media much, so I always appreciate when people share stuff with me.

Brenna was at the Aquarium's 25th Anniversary party, and that was where she first saw The Rockee's Band. Zach was the drummer, but came up to the vocalist when they played an Elvis song. 

She immediately thought of Emily, who was living in Hawaii with Kayla, and decided to stay after the concert and talk to him. 

She said she had a sister that loved Elvis music and he should meet her. 

She got his Instagram or something, passed it on to Emily, who then reached out to him, and they've been talking ever since. Fun to look back and see these photos.

 

Lunch & visiting our Bee

We enjoyed lunch before heading to visit our neighbors....

Janet is often working in her yard on Mondays when we got for walks and she has told the boys before that they are welcome to take the 'bee' by her front door and put it up at Gigi's house. 

We take the Bee, we bring the Bee back. It goes back and forth, and it looks like today it was leaving Janet's yard and headed back to Gigi's.

Wedding Day

NaTasha & Gus Zamora Zamora

An amazing & beautiful wedding for an amazing & beautiful couple!

It was a busy day with so many wonderful people to visit with, that I took 0 pics.

But here's 1of the 140 dirty dishes we brought home.  

Lindsay & Jer were so happy to help us with them.

And we would have done 1000 more if necessary to support Gus & NaTasha.

Total labor of love as we celebrated them this weekend!

 

Wedding Prep

                                        Tomorrow we will celebrate the marriage of Gus & Natasha

    Theirs is truly a match made in heaven....as heaven had so much to do with bringing them together.

Both had suffered great heartache and loss and weren't sure they could ever open their hearts again.

 Then the Lord brought them together through mutual friends, and we were all able to see the Lord heal and then seal the hearts of these 2 special people together.  They could have never imagined the beautiful love story the Lord had in mind for them, and the support they would receive from family & friends.  

The day started with gathering plates, glasses & cutlery for a sit down dinner following the ceremony

Check.

Making bouquets and table centerpieces

Check.

Getting the Arbor ready 

Check.

Finished the night by making homemade salsa in 5 gallon buckets

Check. 

We finished about 10:00pm and could not be more excited for tomorrow!!
