6th grade dance

Today is Lindsay's 6th grade dance.  That's something all the girls remember and look forward to.  The girls and boys have to fill out a 'dance card' with their partners for each type of dance.  Lindz had been thinking about who should would want to ask, but when they time came, she just stood there, and boys came up and filled her dance card with their names.  She is a very kind girl that many are drawn to, and is growing up so fast.  Love you Lindz!

Brothers Joseph and Hyrum Smith

Carthage Jail

The bullet holes in the door
The window Joseph fell through

I love this quote.  Carthage was a serene and quiet place.  It gave me perspective on all that  Joseph Smith gave to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ here upon the Earth.  He himself, as well as his family - his mother, Lucy Mack Smith and wife Emma, had endured so much, yet they never denied the faith they had.  They stood strong against those who persecuted them because they knew God  and had each covenanted to love and serve Him.  I have a personal testimony that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God who translated the Book of Mormon I know that because I had received a personal witness, a burning in my heart, when I have prayed to God to know if it was true.  I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored here upon the Earth, meaning that all aspects of the church that Christ created during His mortal ministry are once again in effect now.  Priesthood power, baptism by immersion, gift of the Holy Ghost, sacrament, sacred temples.  I know these things to be true and am so grateful to be able to commune with God, our Heavenly Father, at any time or places through prayer.  Grateful to the Prophet Joseph and all those early Saints who held establish that work in this dispensation.
