Post Game Cut

We got to enjoy some of Amber's Kitchen famous cinnamon rolls made by Amber herself

And the evening/morning ended with an impromptu haircut for Brenna in the basement-including several inches cut off the length and new bangs.  That girl is always up for anything.

 

Em's 1st accident

Em was driving home from the store in the pre game traffic around the stadium.  Lots of stop 'n' go, and one time when the car in from of her stopped. she did not.

She was pretty shaken up in the airbag going off, but the only real pain she felt was in her hand.

Her right hand stayed swollen for several days (Saturday)

Monday she went in for an x-ray. 

1 break near her knuckle on her index finger

By Thursday we had found a great used car to replace the Honda and within a week she was back on the crazy roads of Provo again.

Late Night Kindness

It's been a rough week/month for Brenna, and though there's little we can do about her current health challenges, it is amazing what some late night kindness can do to lift her spirits and outlook.

Today Brenna was there for a CT Scan.

Primary's always has a way of making you feel safe and calm when you're in their care

We grabbed some food from the cafeteria and ate dinner in the Peace Garden outside the hospital. 

 

Gardner Village

Our annual October Gardner Village Visit.

We have been coming to Gardner Village around Halloween since we moved to South Jordan 23 years ago. I never even considered that one day I'd be bringing my grandchildren here as well, but oh what a treat it is to seem enjoy many of the same places our girls enjoyed growing up.

It's got everything the boys love...rocks, dirt, & water

and a few shallow caves for them to explore
