Setting Apart

Coming home from my setting apart as the South Jordan Stake Young Women's President.  I will spend the next several years loving and serving the 200+ young women that live in our area and helping them build and strengthen their testimonies of the Savior Jesus Christ.  It is an overwhelming and humbling call, but one in which we have felt complete confirmation, came through divine revelation from the Lord.

Park Fun

We spent a late night at the park tonight.

Life has been busy and stressful with heavy work and school loads and sometimes we just need to step back and remember what is  most important....

Each Other...

The girls are growing up quickly ...

and we just want to enjoy every bit of time we have TOGETHER!

Katie's Farwell

Katie is my cousin Steve's 2nd oldest daughter.  She is now in  the Mission Training Center and headed to Kiev, Ukraine to serve an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We only became reacquainted with Katie and her family in the past few weeks, and it has been a rewarding relationship for all of us.  We excited for follow her throughout her mission.

Tyndlee

Tyndlee and Saybria are our families 'babies'. They were born less than 24 hours apart, one in Utah and one in Arizona, and we love them both dearly.  Because we live in Utah, we get to see Tyndlee more often than Saybria, but we appreciate the pictures and videos of her that come our way.

SoJo Half - 1:49

A perfect Saturday morning for a race. Kayla has been training for this half marathon for the past 3 months and was so glad that race day had finally arrived.

Ready to go

Her Young Women's president Amber, one of our So Cal Ragnar teammates, was running her 1st half today and we were all excited for her.

K about a mile passed the temple hill

Headed down 11800 South

She and this girl passed and re-passed each other throughout the entire course

Dad was feeling good

K about mile 9 - behind our neighborhood

Finishing it up. Mile 13.1

With her favorite running partner

and her favorite training partner

She finished 2nd in her age group with an 8:22 average pace

So proud of you girl, you ROCK!

Six weeks later, here is her smaller/scalier leg.  Another few weeks in a walking boot and she should be good as new.

Brenna's cast

This cast really hasn't been slowing this girl down much.  She is still as happy and almost as active as usual.  She has adapted and can do pretty much all that she desires.  Hopefully next weeks xrays will look good, and she can have her favorite orange cast removed.

Hall of Fame

I don't think I've ever posted a pic of our Hall of Fame in the basement, but here it is.  These medals range in activity and in recipient, but we are proud of all that has been accomplished in this family and this blog will always been a reminder of  the full lives we lived.
