and the pins her had placed in her arm during surgery. Emi came with to her appointment and took the pictures. I did glance over to see blood dripping off the ends of the pins once he removed them.
Though this has not been a great or inexpensive injury, I am very thankful for all of the wonderful medical staff that have caerd for here these past few months. Let's see how long we can go without another broken bone.
Aubrey recieved one of 4 awardsgiven out to JV players at the Lacrosse Banquet. Most Improved Player. She tried to down play it, by saying, "I really sucked and had no idea what I was doing...so I could only get better" but she really did have an amazing 1st season. Her coaches also presented her with this pink LAX GIRL bumper stickers and said they wanted her to put it on her car so that everyone knows she's no longer a cheerleader, but a true LAX player.
I know I have probably expressed this many times on the blog, but we are so grateful fot the blessing of Lacrosse in Aubrey's life. It came as an answer to fasting and prayer and she can recognize the Lord's hand in her life through this expereince. We can not say enough good about the coaches, players, and other parents. Such a good group of girls, athletes, and friends, who truly care about one another. We could have never predicted the turns her life would take this year, or the blessing that would come into our lives through Lacrosse.
Tonight was a night to celebrate all that Kayla has accomplished and loved about being part of Fusion All Star Cheer for the past 2 years,b ut it was also a night to say 'Goodbye' as she moves into High School and explores other sports and activities. Fusion, and their coaches have been so good to our family and we will always consider ourselves part of theirs. Congrats Kayla on 2 amazing years in the Cheerleading World.
