1st Swim & Smores

The Backyard Remodel has been very long and arduous.  It is still not done, but ready or not, the girls have decided to get in the pool - rocks, cement chucks, and all

We also broke in the new fire pit - best s'mores ever
So glad to finally be able to use it, and no longer smell like campfire when we do smores.

Emi's 11th B-day

Emi loves her birthday, of course, Emi loves just about everything in life, but her own birthday is pretty special to her.  She brings so much joy, happiness, and pizzazz to our lives, and we are so grateful she is part of our family.  I think the pictures tell the story of her excitement.

Target gift card that she can spend on anything she wants

Snorkel set for Hawaii and the pool

Werther's Original - her favorite carmel candies

A dancing ballerina card from Linz
A Spider Man glove with built in silly string/water squirter, which she is wearing on her right hand as she runs toward her final present...

Spider Women's new ride......a coral beach cruiser with a basket . . . . and a cup holder.

Now a few words from the birthday girl.
I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I didn't get to take my beach cruiser to Hawaii, but I still love it and ride it to school. Sadly, everyone there (even strangers) are always like, "That's a really big bike!" I don't really care though. I already ate all my carmels and haven't used my target money yet. I can't wait for next year! (12 = you can actually do stuff)

Emi - More Bday Fun

Out to lunch with Mom
New Sunglasses

Bike ride with Mom to 7-11 to test out the basket and cup holder

Late Night joint party with Mia and Chloe  Life just doesn't get much better than this...except when you turn 12

17 Years Running

We knew when we signed up for the Running with Ed Relay that it would be on Aubrey's Birthday.  She said she still wanted to run it as a family, so here we go

Aubs has been running her same leg all 5 years years, and she loves it.  She takes off from Canyons ski resort, into an aspen forest for awhile, water stop at the famous white Ute Barn, through a tunnel, onto a mountain trail, finishing at an elementary school.

She and Robert like to run with tunes

Hair floppin'

Coming into the transition area, ready to pass off the baton to Kayla

She's glad to be done

Now onto the fun stuff

Cheering and squirting down sisters

Birthday Dinner

RWE race organizers have always been so kind to our family.  They called us up during the awards ceremony to congratulate us with a  "5 years Running Award" and to wish Aubrey a Happy Birthday with a special song and cake.

Such an amazing 17th year old!  Happy Birthday Aubs!

Aubrey 17th Birthday

Her birthday cupcake....love having this in our yard for the girls birthdays

Best present ever for Aubs....Rapid Ramen cooker, she can now cook her Top Ramen in the microwave with the same great taste as when cooked on the stove top.  This will be a great addition to her dorm room next year.

Another awesome gift...though she still hadn't figured out exactly what it was, even after opening the package and the manual....

Here's another clue?  Any guess?  This is the best gift ever for Jeep owners.  It is a 'hoist system' that allows 1 person to lift the hard top off the jeep and store it safely on the garage ceiling.  So cool!  Have to post some pics of it installed.  This will make our whole family's life easier, as the hard top required several people to remove it, took up lots of room to store on the garage floor, and then when it would rain and there wasn't people or time to get the hard top back on, we were down a car.  One of the best jeep inventions ever.

Aubrey also enjoyed a new cookie press, Target money, and some extra cash from grandparents and friends.  17 is good age.

Emi's 1st Dance Comp

Though Emi has been dancing for several years now, she has never been part of a competition, but it is right up her alley. She loves the spotlight and performing in front of an audience.
It was a hard decision to change studios this year, but it has paid off in so many ways.  She is blossoming as a dancer and her skills have really improved.  Rocky Mountain Dance will definitely help her achieve her dance dreams.

NJHS Induction Ceremony

Kayla is the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) President at her school.  Tonight was the her final activity as she welcomed in the new inductees for next year.
She lit the candle representing the 'Service' aspect of NJHS
And delivered an amazing speech about the purpose and goals of NJHS.  She is a great leader and represented herself and her school very well.
Lindsay was one of the student inducted into NJHS for next year.  Great job girls.  You ROCK!
